2009 Kansas Jayhawks Season Information

In 2008, the Jayhawks polished off what very well may have been their best season ever, finishing by chalking up a victory at the FedEx Orange Bowl. This was their first trip to the Orange Bowl since 1969, and their first bowl game since 2005 at the Fort Worth Bowl. The Orange Bowl was a great place for their stronger players to show the NFL what they had to work with, after which they saw two of their players officially announce intentions to enter the draft, including Aqib Talib, who is forgoing his senior year with the Jayhawks and was arguably one of the best cornerbacks actively playing in college football.

Surely KU will survive this early separation from their ranks, though he will not easily be replaced. There has always been talent at this Big 12 college, but it is difficult for them to recruit players from outside of the immediate area. With the difficulty of convincing a Texan to join ranks with a college in Kansas, they still manage to keep a noteworthy roster year after year. The University of Kansas Memorial Stadium seating chart is completely available on vividseats.com so that you can come on down and show your support for the Kansas Jayhawks for the 2009 season.
