2009 Kansas State Wildcats Season Information


Kansas State had not been known for their presence on the field when it came to football, having only acquired one title before 2003, which was back in 1934. In 1989 Bill Snyder was brought on board to coach and he managed to guide this Division I afterthought into a formidable force exuding dominance in the Big 12 Conference and becoming the only team to have defeated Oklahoma when meeting in the championship to date. Ron Prince came aboard when Bill Snyder retired in 2005. Three new coaches have joined the roster under Ron Prince in March of 2008, one being Jeff Rodgers, a five season coach with the staff of the San Francisco 49ers, now the Wildcats' new Special Teams Coordinator.  more
