In the 1990s you could not find a more winning team in the Division I program. Marshall won several titles in the NCAA divisions and seemingly could not be stopped. 1999, 2000 and 2001 showed Marshall as being in the top 25. In 2005 they became members of Conference USA. West Virginia wants to see this legacy intact for the team that they cherish known as the Thundering Herd. Head Coach Mark Snyder can feel the excitement around the contests for the 2008 season and is looking forward to facing nine bowl teams from just a year ago.

In the 2008 and 2009 season we are expecting more from the team that we have been waiting to see the next great thing from. With new defensive coordinator Rick Minter and the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach John Shannon taking their new seats in Marshall’s ranks; it will be good to see what the current members and 20 newly signed students of the Thundering Herd have to offer.
