Loading the Memphis Tigers NCAA schedule...
The Memphis Tigers have not exactly had an illustrious career under the direction of the head coach Tommy West, having been to four bowl games from 2003-2007. The highlight of the past five years was maybe seeing one of their own be plucked from their midst by the Carolina Panthers, as then-senior DeAngelo Williams was a first round NFL draft pick. None of this has kept their spirits down for the NCAA football season of 2009, however. Who knows, 2008 and 2009 could yield groundbreaking victories for the Tigers.
Overall, West is pleased with the training season underway. Stacey Jones has found his way back to the field after having made a comeback from a bout with cancer. Some players are still on the sidelines with injuries and undergoing conditioning before the opening of the season. Three hopefuls are chasing starting quarterback, and the rest of the team is working hard to be in full working order so that they are ready for the 2008 schedule.
