Through the ups and downs of a difficult 2011 season that saw Miami finish 4-8, the RedHawks salvaged league play with a 3-3 record, posting wins over Kent State, Buffalo, and Akron. Six players earned All-MAC honors including returners Dayonne Nunley, Nick Harwell, who each garnered first-team accolades, and third-team recipient, Austin Brown. Nunley led the team with three interceptions and 13 PBUs, while Harwell set a new school record with 97 receptions and totaled 1,425 yards to go along with nine touchdowns.
