The Michigan Wolverines have been a very successful team in the last eight years as a part of the Big Ten Conference. Starting in 1999, the Wolverines had their second best season record of 10-2. The team also ranked 2nd out of 114. In 2000, the team ended with a 9-3 record. In 2001, the team still proved to be very successful, finishing their season with an 8-4 record. In 2002 and 2003, the Wolverines won 10 games and lost only 3, leaving them with the ranking of 7th out of 118 teams in 2003. In 2004, the team met their 2000 record of 9-3.
The 2005 season proved to be the Wolverines lowest winning season, winning seven games and losing five. This left the team with a 23rd out of 119 team ranking. Since 1999, 2006 has proved to be the Wolverines best season. Winning 11 out of 13 games, the Michigan Wolverines ranked 8th out of 119 teams. In 2007, the team concluded with a 9-4 record, leaving them on a great start for the 2008 season.
