2008 Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders Season Information
In 1999, the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders started as an Independent Conference. They ended the 1999 season with a 3-8 record, which surely needed to be improved upon. At this time the Blue Raiders only ranked 108th out of 114 teams. In 2000, the team came back and finished with 6-5 record, greatly improving on their previous season. The team moved up from 108th to 78th out of 116 teams. In 2001 the Blue Raiders joined the Sunbelt Conference and continued improving their season records, ending the 2001 season with an 8-3 record, which has proved to be their best up to now. more
In 2002, the Blue Raiders record dropped down to 4-8, and since 2002 the team has yet to win more than 7 games.
From 2002-2007, the Blue Raiders have yet to meet or top their 8-3 record. As of 2007, the team stands as 87th out of 122 teams. For the 2008 season, head coach Rick Stockstill is ready for improvement, as are the Blue Raiders. The Blue Raiders are in need of a starting quarterback. Last season’s quarterback was replaced by a sophomore due to injuries early in the season. less
