The Ohio State Buckeyes have been one of, if not the most successful team that is part of the Big Ten Conference. In 1999, the Buckeyes had their lowest season record of 6-6. In 2000, the Buckeyes became ever more successful, winning eight games and losing only 4. The team’s rank was 19th out of 116 teams. In 2001, the Buckeyes ended their season with a 7-5 record and a ranked 34th out of 117.

In 2002, the Ohio State Buckeyes had the best season possible. The team won all 14 of their games, and was ranked the first team out of 117. This victory seemed to inspire seasons to come, because from 2002 and on, the Buckeyes never won less than eight games in a season. In 2003, the Buckeyes ended the season with an 11-2 record and ranked 4th out of 118 teams. In 2004, the team won eight games and lost only four. Throughout the next three seasons, the Ohio State Buckeyes seasons’ turned out to be exceptionally well. In 2005, the Buckeyes were victorious in 10 games, losing only two. In 2006, the team had their second best season record of 12-1, placing them 5th out of 119 teams. Finally in 2007 the Buckeyes again proved to be successful, finishing with an 11-2 record. For the 2008 season, the Buckeyes are almost sure to be successful.
