2009 Tulane Green Wave Season Information

Bob Toledo, head coach of the Green Wave, has announced O’Neil Gilbert as the new linebackers coach, Grant Higgison as the defensive line coach, and reports the loss of Fred Bliel of special teams to Texas State, leaving a hole in the coaching staff. This all happening after a short period in February 2008, it is sure to have a direct impact on the upcoming training season, and the performance we have been seeing on the field itself. Tulane has signed 11 new members for their defensive game in 2008 and returns 7 letter winning starters, 24 lettered players all together.

The landscape of the Green Wave’s coaching staff has changed quite a bit for the forthcoming season into 2008-2009, but the team has seen a fair amount of retention. Six of their scheduled games will be at home, and the other 6 on the road. Six of the contenders are teams that found favor in bowl games in the post season for the 2007-2008 season, and they will need to take on five of these while on the road. The schedule is not ideal, but we can show up and support the Tulane Green Wave at home, the Louisiana Superdome seating chart is available on the vividseats.com site to help you find a seat.
