When the University of Southern Mississippi was just a pup, it used to compete as the Tigers, and then they found their way to an entire range of nicknames, including Southerners, Yellow Jackets, Normalities, and Confederates. This launching point of the great Brett Favre is no stranger to championship games, however that does not change the urgency that they pursue their titles with. The March 2008 start to their training season has been found to be rated the second best program across the country, second only to Michigan.

Larry Fedora, the head coach, felt that the team was moving quite well in their pads when training got underway on March 21st. We are looking for the team to bring dominance to the field in this 2007 playing season.
