About the Atlanta Falcons

Injuries can be demoralizing, not only for a team but for a city of fans. In 2003 Falcons fans watched as their franchise went down in flames with the injury of star quarterback Michael Vick. When Vick returned he won three out of his last five games and provided a glimpse of things to come if he remains healthy. With Vicks scrambling abilities and cannon for a left arm, no one doubts he has the potential to be the #1 quarterback in the league. Rookie head coach Jim Mora expects just that.

Implementing a version Bill Walshs west coast offense but tailored to Vicks talents was just one of the things Mora did in the off season. Stressing the need for more targets for Vick, off-season acquisitions in Dez White and first round draft pick Michael Jenkins give the Falcons what they lacked at the wide receiver spot. With White, Jenkins, Peerless Price and tight end Alge Crumpler, Vick will have ample targets to launch the ball to, as well as receivers that can block downfield when he scrambles. Also look for rookie cornerback DeAngelo Hall to blanket opposing teams top receiver, something the Falcons have lacked in recent years. With their offensive improvements, a new head coach, a phenom rookie corner and a healthy Vick, Atlanta Falcons fans will be scrambling to the box office to snatch any ticket they can in 2004.

Georgia Dome - Atlanta, GA

The Georgia Dome is an exiting place to watch Michael Vick tear up opposing defenses. A former two-time Super Bowl host and, college bowl host and Olympic arena, the Georgia dome knows how to handle a big crowd. And big crowds are what fans should expect when they waltz into this 71,000 seat indoor facility. Built in 1999 the new Field turf surface should create a speedy floor for Vick to run on while providing a cushion on tackles, something regular turf lacked. With over 4,500 club seats and 150+ executive suites, fans of all demographics will be able to enjoy this high-powered offense in their own favorite way.
