The greatest show on turf is back in 2004 ready to run
defenses all over the field. The biggest improvement to the team was a departure
rather than an acquisition, more specifically the release of Kurt Warner.
Without Warner looking over his shoulder, Marc Bulger will be more comfortable
knowing Martz and the team have their confidence in him. As always, Big Play
Tory Holt will give opposing defenses headaches while he stretches the field or
comes underneath to convert crucial third downs. Marshall Faulk is also back in
2004 rested and healthy. He also hopes to return to the form that won him an MVP
trophy and a Super Bowl in 2000. Rookie Stephen Jackson is the Rams safety net
in case Faulks knee goes bad again, and had been impressive in the pre-season,
adding a power running dimension that Faulk doesnt have.
On defense the
Rams hope to create turnovers by stripping the ball from the quarterback and
picking off his pass attempts. Adam Archuleta is a hard-hitting safety, often
compared to the likes of Shawn Gayle and John Lynch, who can force the ball out
of receivers hands and sack the quarterback off the edge. Veteran Aeneas
Williams is showing no signs of slowing down, even at the ripe age of 36.
Leonard Little has evolved into one of the games best pass rushers, and coming
off a 2003 season in which he compiled 12 .5 sacks, opposing quarterbacks have
plenty to be worried about.
Edward Jones Dome - St. Louis
The
Edward Jones Dome has been a winning field for the Rams since 1995. Seating

as a result. Two 20 ft high Sony Jumbotrons give ticket holders replays and
stats while the club patrons enjoy 42,000 sq ft of bars and food services.
