Sign up for savings, info, and more! The Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished the 2012 season at 7-9, but one could only imagine how they would have fared had their league-leading rushing defense been supplemented by a better passing defense. To cure the secondary woes, Tampa Bay shocked the NFL by trading for former New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis. Known as the NFL’s best “shutdown” corner, Revis is a risk coming off ACL surgery in September, but his outstanding history and potential made the move more than worth it. Alongside newly signed safety Dashon Goldson, the Bucs look to have turned their biggest weakness into a team strength, which should pay dividends in their hunt for a playoff spot.
The Bucs 2013 schedule has the team opening up at none other than MetLife Stadium to take on Revis’ former running mates, the Jets, on Sept. 8. Fans can purchase Bucs tickets to see the first game of the season in Tampa Bay against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 15, in addition to other Raymond James Stadium contests versus such squads as the Philadelphia Eagles (Oct. 13), Atlanta Falcons (Nov. 17), and San Francisco 49ers, which will close out the home schedule on Dec. 15.
