About the Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans have towered over opponents for the past five years, making it to the AFC Championship Game twice and to the Super Bowl once. Steve McNair enjoyed his Co-MVP award last year but hoped for a Super Bowl ring that has eluded him during his stellar career. Carrying that chip on his shoulder, McNair hopes to bring home the crown in 2004. With the loss of Eddie George one would assume that the Titans running attack will suffernot if Chad Brown has anything to do with it. Many compare Brown to a younger George, with a quicker step and better break away speed. Addressing their need at tight end the Titans picked up Ben Troupe in the first round of the draft, an excellent player from Florida.

Eddie George isnt the only player the Titans lost in the off-season. The Freak Javon Kearse, a perennial pro-bowler was sent to the Eagles in the off-season. The Titans responded by drafting Travis Laboy and Antwan Odom in the second and third round of the draft, respectively. Both posted double digit sack seasons in college and will be required to jump right in to the mix. With their defensive and offensive improvements, McNair is looking for his Super Bowl ring.

THE COLISEUM

The Coliseum in Tennessee is not to be confused with the one in Athens, however there are certain similarities. Both overlook historic cities, each is immense in footprint and height, both can seat over 50,000 people, and each week gladiators battle it out to see whos the mightiest of them all. The Coliseum seats 69,000 fans and overlooks beautiful downtown Nashville. The open-air, natural grass and downtown placement give the stadium an electric feel on game day, and Titans fans are known as some of the loudest in the country. The stadium is seated on 105 scenic acres of land, leaving plenty of room to park, tailgate and relax before, after and during the game. Ticket holders are always impressed by the ample bathrooms, dual big screen on opposite ends of the stadium, plenty of concessions, 175 luxury suites and two 25,000 sq ft club houses.
