On December 12, 2006, the Anaheim Ducks defeated the Panthers 5-4, thus breaking a franchise record for their 6th consecutive road win. They also set their new record that night to 24-3-6 and 54 Points. No other team having played thirty-three games had reached 54 points since the 1979 Flyers.
The following day, the Anaheim Ducks beat the Thrashers to improve once again their road record to 12-1-2. They score 26 points setting the NHL mark for the most points on the road through fifteen games. The previous record holders were the 1951-52 Red Wings that scored 25 points (10-0-5).
Two players from the current rooster became the top-ten franchise scoring leaders. Teemu Selanne is leading with 631 points, 295 goals, and 336 assists; and Andy McDonald has 212 points, scoring 73 goals and 139 assists.
