Thrashers Feb 07 Season UpdateThe Atlanta Thrashers finished the previous season with 41 wins, 33 losses, and 8 overtime losses. The team did not qualify for the playoffs. They set a new club record with 41 victories, even though they had numerous goaltending injuries. Only a couple of minutes during the starting game of the season, goaltender Lehtonen was injured and that kept him out for a good portion of the season. Later, veteran backup Mike Dunham stepped in, but also injured himself several games later. Newly signed goalie Steve Shields was injured within ten games. The same story happened to Chris Dingman.
