Hurricanes Return to the Ice with Three Home Games in Opening Month
It’s been a long time coming for hockey fans, but beginning Jan. 19, the NHL will officially return to action for what is sure to be an exciting and unpredictable four months. With 99 days to play 48 games, the Carolina Hurricanes will join most of the league in opening the shortened season on the 19th, and will do so on the road against the Florida Panthers. A mere three days later, the squad will then make its PNC Arena debut with back-to-back games against the Tampa Bay Lightning (Jan. 22) and Buffalo Sabres (Jan. 24), who the Hurricanes will then face again the following night on the road. A mix of mostly away contests will take up much of February, but the remaining two months of the regular season will have a hearty list of opportunities to catch Carolina on the home ice.
