2011-2012 A Season of Change for Minnesota Wild


Despite finishing above .500 in each of their last three seasons, the Minnesota Wild have not tasted playoff hockey since the 07-08 season. Following their disappointing finish a year ago, the Wild have made wholesale changes. Head coach Todd Richards was let go in favor of former Pittsburgh Penguins assistant Mike Yeo in the offseason and Wild star players Martin Havlat and Brent Burns were traded away. Yeo will welcome new players like goal-scoring right winger Devin Setoguchi and veteran playmaker Dany Heatley to the Twin Cities when the season begins this October.  more
