2011-2012 Canucks Rebounding From Stanley Cup Finals Loss


Although the riots in the streets of Vancouver grabbed most of the headlines following the Canucks' game 7 defeat to the Boston Bruins, the British Columbia-based NHL team may have had their best season in franchise history. Vancouver set a team record winning 54 games during the regular season and star Daniel Sedin won the Art Ross Trophy for leading the NHL in points. Nevertheless, the Canucks' 40th anniversary season ended in defeat and destruction. Although the Canucks lost key contributors Raffi Torres and Christian Ehroff in the offseason, the team did make a smart free agency move for Marco Sturm and re-signed Chris Higgins and Kevin Bieksa.  more
