Information About Championship Bull Riding
Bull riding is one of the most famous rodeo sports (involving cattle). It involves a cowboy trying to ride a bull for a period of eight long seconds. The cowboy grips the bull by one hand and has to keep his other hand lifted in the air so it's of no help to him to make the job even more difficult. Bull riding is thought of being born in 1869 as a result of a dispute between two rival groups. Soon, afterwards, it was taken up as a sport. It is considered as one of the fastest growing sports in USA. There are a few organizations that manage Bull riding competitions.
In Championship Bull riding, the contest is between a fierce animal and a human. The cowboy tries to keep himself mounted on top of the bull as long as he can. The bull, that is taught to be very mean and difficult to control, tries to throw the rider away. The rider moves in order to control the movements of bull and prolong his ride.
Bull riding Championship consists of multiple events. There are different types of arenas for every competition. Events are spread over a period of 2 to 3 days. Riders are given opportunity to ride the bulls one time per night. The performance of both rider and bull is taken into consideration by the judges. Depending on their overall effort, rider is allotted points. Judges keep a special track of various key features such as the power and agility of the animal. They also pay special attention to the rider; his control over the bull, his balance and other things. The Champion Bull Riding is managed by CBR (Championship Bull Riding) Inc. This Organization was founded to protect the rights of Bull riders or Cowboys. In 2007, Brian Canter won the championship.
