This Soccer Club was formed as Dallas Burns on June 6th 1995 in the city of Frisco in Texas. Dallas Burns played its first game in April 1996 which it won against San Jose Clash. It is a member of the Major Soccer League and has almost completed its 12th season. The Team played at the Cotton Bowl Stadium from 1996 till 2004 except for a one year stint at the Dragon stadium in 2003.This club is owned by the Hunts Sports Group. The name of the club was changed to F.C.Dallas in 1994 and played its first game under this name in 1996.The logo has F.C.Dallas and 96 above the drawing of a bull. The clubs colors are red white and blue with a streak of silver. In 2005 it moved to its present stadium the Pizza Hut Park. This stadium has a capacity of 20000 and can accommodate up to 27000 by using the field seats. It is owned by the City of Frisco along with the Hunt Sports Group.
F.C Dallas has been very actively working for development of junior Soccer players and coaches. It has a development program called the F.C.Dallas School of Excellence and the 2008 camp offers programs for players between 7-11 for beginners, advanced programs for players between 10-16, Pro- Amatuer Camps for adult players, and finally a Coaches Association Continuing Education Camp for young coaches and club coaches.
These Camps are designed to provide sound fundamentals and overall development. Renowned Players like Denilson, Drew Moore Oduro come to these camps to impart specialized knowledge and interact with the participants. The Head Coach is Steve Morrow and has three Brazilians- Ricardinho, Marcelo Saragosa , and their latest addition Andre Rocha.
