The team at the time of its incubation was named as Mohegan Wolves, which was suggested by people in the naming contest. Later on it was handed over to Manchester where in the name changed to Manchester wolves and since then it has been most appreciated by the same name. Gray Porter was the first best coach for the team and later on several other good coaches followed.
