Jerry Seinfeld is a famous comic and writer from New York, who is well-known for his NBC sitcom Seinfeld (originally the Seinfeld Chronicles), which was broadcasted from 1989 to 1998 and had great success.

He graduated from Queens College and soon after that, in 1976, he appeared in Catch a Rising Star and then in a Rodney Dangerfield HBO special. Then he had a small episodic role in the Bension sitcom, but soon was given the sack.

Nevertheless, the real success came to Jerry Senfeld with his famous sitcom Seinfeld, where he presented himself as the executive producer, co-creator and one of the main characters – a prototype of himself. The show was started in 1989 and only four seasons later it became one of the most popular shows in America.

The eighth and ninth seasons, after the resignation of its writer Larry Davids, were a sort of decline for Seinfeld show and it couldnt keep up to the first seasons shows. In 1998, unfortunately for the audience and its fans, Seinfeld show produced its final series. However, during a decade-history the show was many times nominated for different awards and won 10 Emmys. By the way, in 2002 it was announced by TV Guide as the best of 50 greatest shows.
