Lisa Lampanelli Background Information

Lisa Lampanelli is commonly referred to as the Queen of the Mean. Being able to essentially get away with verbalizing just about anything no matter what it is, Lampanelli has managed to dominate the comedy club’s area in Los Angeles and in New York within a matter of a few short years. No person or idea is considered safe or as a taboo when it comes to Lisa’s verbal abuses. Regardless of age, sex or religion Lisa is an equal opportunity insulter. She represents a rude and boisterous mixtures lying somewhere in between an Archie Bunker and a female Don Rickles. Lisa has consistently won rave reviews from such giants as Howard Stern who assigned her the distinction of being a funny broad.

Lisa has been a customary feature on Jay Leno’s ever-popular late night Tonight Show as well as special appearances on Howard Stern's radio show. In 2005, she completed a special appearance on the Comedy Central show Last Laugh and her performances on Comedy Central’s roasts for both William Shatner and Pamela Anderson received vast national attention. Her 2005 special one-hour show Take It Like a Man proved to be a sensation among the many comedy channel fans and when released both her CD and her matching DVD with a similar name soared up to the number six position on the comedy popularity charts. Lisa's second hour-long TV special entitled aptly Dirty Girl released on January of 2007.

All this attention began when she was selected as the solo female comedian invited to participate in a roast held in honor of Chevy Chase at the Comedy Centrals Friar Club Roast. Soon she was to become one of the select few of the white comedians selected to perform for the BET show Comic View.

Additional, Lisa has taped several specials for major television networks such as MTV, CMT and VH1 and she was prominently featured in the popular Tough Crowd featuring Colin Quinn. She was scheduled to also appear on the feature film entitled Delta Farce featuring Larry the ever popular Cable Guy, D.J. Qualls and Bill Engvall which released the first quarter of the year 2007. Additionally, she was scheduled to play the impressive role of an older maternal adaptation of herself when she performed in the popular Owen Wilson’s Drillbit Taylor released Christmas of 2007.

Her current activities entail appearances on various comedy centrals shows and possibly another CD or DVD release soon.
