Ninth Season Underway for So You Think You Can Dance

Fox’s premier competition, So You Think You Can Dance, has returned for its ninth season this summer, complete with changes to the show’s format. There will be just one episode per week, which eliminates a separate broadcast for results that had typically aired the following night. This year’s competition also will feature one male and one female winner, in place of just one overall champion. Permanent judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy are back and will be accompanied by several guest judges during the season including Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Debbie Allen, and Adam Shankman.
