Bank of America Stadium Information
Bank of America Stadium is located in Charlotte, North Carolina and is called home by the Carolina Panthers. The stadium is relatively young opening its gates in 1996. However, even during this short time it has already been called three different names, starting off as the Carolina's Stadium after opening and then going by Ericsson Stadium and now the present name of Bank of America Stadium. Even today it is still called the Carolina's Stadium for FIFA soccer events. It is a relatively large stadium with a grass playing field and enough seats for almost 74,000 people.
Due to the large size and location Bank of America Stadium has been used for events other than NFL football games. East Carolina University play some of their home games at Bank of America Stadium, and the Meineke Car Care Bowl is held here as well . Other non-football events that have been held here include the NCAA Men's Soccer Championships of 1999 and 2000, as well as a concert given by The Rolling Stones.
