Ray's Career


Ray Romano was born in Queens, New York and graduated high school with Fran Drescher (appearing later on in her show as an “old-classmate”). He attended Queens College majoring in accounting before he quit to break into show business. He was a contestant on Star Search for comedy. He did a bunch of small gigs for Comedy Central including playing a recurring guest voice on Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist. He became the star of his own show, Everybody Loves Raymond, based on his stand-up comedy acts.  more
