Ain't No Party Like A Bloc Party Cause A Bloc Party Don't Stop
Bloc Party is a lucky band. Unlike other indie-rock bands, Bloc Party achieved great success with their first two albums,
Silent Alarm, released in 2005, and
A Weekend In The City, released the following year. After the band’s formation in 1999 at the Reading Festival, they gave their demo to Franz Ferdinand lead singer and Radio One DJ Steve Lamacq, which easily led to their big break and Bloc Party tickets selling out fast. Aside from having hit chart-topping singles and an album of the year, Bloc Party garnered even more success with a remix of their album
Silent Alarm by hot acts such as The Chemical Brothers, Ladytron, M83, Death From Above 1979, Four Tet and Mogwai.
more Bloc Party’s sound and style is said to have been influenced by bands such as The Cure, Les Saavy Fav, The Strokes, The Smiths and Joy Division. While that may be so, their latest album,
Intimacy, takes a step in an electronic direction (most likely due to the success of their electronic remixes). The album was released digitally in August 2008 and tangibly in October 2008. Cheap Bloc Party tickets are rare to come by but keep checking back for more announcements regarding Bloc Party tickets and Bloc Party tour dates.
