Wilson Spreads Love on 2013 Tour
When Charlie Wilson’s sixth studio album, “Love, Charlie,” made its way to No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart back in January, the GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter showed everyone that he’s still got what it takes to rest atop the world of R&B music. After getting his start with the iconic funk trio, The Gap Band, back in the 1970s, Wilson has enjoyed incredible solo success, and now he’s showcasing his skills with a 2013 tour. Wilson is scheduled to play concerts from March until September, and he’ll be making stops at venues like PNC Arena in Raleigh, N.C. (March 23); Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. (May 11); the Benedum Center in Pittsburgh, Pa. (May 12); and the Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Atlanta, Ga. (Sept. 13).
Despite turning 60-years-old in 2013, Wilson is performing at his peak, and his latest single, "My Love Is All I Have,” claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard’s Urban Adult Contemporary chart for five weeks.
