Country music singer and songwriter Chris Cagle was dreaming about making a career in music long before he was signed to a record deal. After long years of waiting and some odd jobs, his dream came true. Cagle’s first single, entitled My Love Goes On And On, became a chart hit right away after its release (no. 15 on the US Country Chart and no. 76 on the US Hot 100). The singer covered the Lynyrd Skynyrd composition called Don't Ask Me No Questions for the soundtrack of the film Blue Collar Comedy Tour, and performed it with the 4 comedians over the closing credits of the film.
The performer’s first album Play It Loud contains two more hit singles, besides My Love Goes On And On, Laredo (2000, raised to no. 8 on the US Country Chart and no. 60 on the US Hot 100) and I Breathe In, I Breathe Out. The latter became No. One US Country Chart single.
The second album released was entitled Chris Cagle and is famous for some more hit songs, like Chicks Dig It, What a Beautiful Day, I'd Be Lying, and more. The third album Anywhere But Here was released with the Copy Control protection system in several regions. The tracks of the new studio album include "You Might Want To Think About It", "Wal-Mart Parking Lot" (no. 42 on the US Country Chart), "Miss Me Baby" (no. 12 on the US Country Chart), "Maria", "Anywhere But Here", "You Still Do That To Me", "Hey Y'all", "I Was Made For You", "Wanted Dead Or Alive", "When I Get There", and "I'd Find You".
Chris Cagle is one of country music’s most interesting characters. The singer’s secret weapon lies in his unique ability to rope the whirlwind and to vividly depict its motion and emotion with his pen and his great voice.
