About the Honda Civic Tour
Honda Motors conducts an annual concert tour. The tour started in 2001 and since then the company sponsors the event each year giving a car as gift. The headline performing band conducts the raffle during the tour. The tour conducted by Honda Civic is held in various places and locations as picked based on the sponsor's discretion.
The 2001 tour featured the band, Blink-182 as lead performers with other bands like Alkaline Trio, No Motiv, the Ataris and Sum 41 supporting. There was also a second extension of the tour added which had Everclear as the lead band and the other supportive bands which included, The Mayfield Four, Hi-Fi, and Head Automatica. Each year the bands are changed and new ones used. In 2007 the Fall Out Boy was the lead band with the support from The Academy, Cobra Starship, and Paul Wall.
The tour is conducted ever year to sponsor the product Honda Civic. The aim of the tour is to promote the car, showcase its efficiency and fuel saving capacity but also to spread the awareness of the car and its green house friendly features. The tour works with non profit environmental organizations I doing this. Some of the upcoming tour dates for 2008 includes the Seattle Washington Paramount Theatre on June 7, 2008, June 8 at Portland Oregon Portland Exposition Centre of Reno Nevada, the Grand Sierra Resort in Las Vegas Nevada, June 10th, also there is The Pearl on June 13 and the Anaheim California on June 14, 2008.
