Jack Owen Ingram was born on November 15, 1970. He is a country music singer hailing from Texas. Initially he toured in Houston and Dallas and released many independent albums before he was signed in by Warner Music. His latest album was “This is it” which was released in 2007.
Jack Ingram was studying psychology at the Southern Methodist University located in Dallas when he started writing songs. His first single “Wherever You Are” from the album “Live: Wherever You Are” topped all the charts. His other albums are Jack Ingram, Lonesome Question, Young Man, Live at Adair’s, Livin’ or Dyin’, Hey You, Acoustic Motel, Electric, Electric: Extra Volts, Live At Billy Bob’s Texas and Live At Gruene Hall: Happy Happy. These albums feature many of his singles like “Lips of an Angel”, “Maybe She’ll Get Lonely” and “Measure of a Man” from the album “This is it”, “Love You” from the album “Live: Wherever You Are”, “Mustang Burn” and “One Thing” from “Electric”, “How Many Days” from “Hey You” and “Flutter” from “Livin’ or Dyin’”.
In 2005, Jack Ingram signed the independent record label known as Big Machine Records. It was under this banner that he released his famous album “Live: Wherever You Are”.
Due to his chart topping success Jack has a high profile touring schedule. In 2006 he had the opportunity to tour with Brooks & Dunn and Sheryl Crow. He also has his own radio show called “Jack’s Tracks” which is a weekly radio show. Jack has also been performing every year at the prestigious music festival “Austin City Limits Music Festival” right from its inception in 2002.
The late Waylon Jennings who was Jack’s idol had rightfully called him as “an incredible talent”.
