Judas Priest is a weighty metal group formed in the year 1968 at Birmingham. Initially created by guitarist Downing K. K. and Ian Hill, their centre line-up consists of Hill, Downing, Glenn Tipton who is a guitarist and singer Rob Halford. They have quoted as a power on various heavy metal bands and musical groups. Their fame and position has got them a pet name ?Metal Gods?, amongst the ultimate heavy metal groups. Their thirty five million albums are sold worldwide.

Ian Hill and K. K. Downing were familiar with each other from the childhood because they both lived close by and were in the same kindergarten and school at West Bromwich. Both of them became best friends in the teenage, when they also had common musical interests such as The Who, The Yardbirds, Jimi Hendrix, and Cream plus they also learnt to play instrument.

Before the group went to the studio for recording their 1st album, record company recommended the group too add one more musician. Since Downing was unwilling to add a horn player or keyboard player, he preferred to add Glenn Tipton, the second guitarist, from Stafford-based Airborne Hat Group. The group made their first appearance with the sole ?Rocka Rolla? in 1974, August, prior to releasing an album with the similar name after a month. Judas recorded 6 studio as well as 1 live album gathering unlike degrees of financial and critical success. Largely, the group sold in surplus of thirty million albums worldwide.
