Kate Nash Drops New Album and Crosses the Pond for 2013 Tour
The last time we heard from British alternative pop star Kate Nash she delighted our ears with her EP “Death Proof” late last year. Now, we get the full on treatment with the announcement of her full-length studio effort, “Girl Talk,” which is due to grace record store shelves on March 4th. But that’s not all, as the singer-songwriter has announced that she will head to North America for a very brief tour that’s sure to have her fans chomping at the bit. The entirety of the 2013 Kate Nash tour hasn’t been released in its entirety as of yet, but so far there are at least eleven shows on her schedule. It all kicks off at Boston’s Brighton Music Hall on March 12th; and she’ll make stops at venues like Chicago’s Empty Bottle(3/18) and Washington, D.C.’s Black Cat (3/23) before finishing off at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom on March 26th.
“Girl Talk” will be London-based indie pop sensation’s third studio effort, coming in after 2010’s “My Best Friend is You” and 2007’s “Made of Bricks,” which was her smash hit debut. The first single "3AM," was recently released online, though it’s official release isn’t until February 18th, and is surely more than enough to get Nash fans excited.
