About Michael Bolton
Michael Bolton started his career as a songwriter co-writing the songs “I Found Someone” and “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You” which were performed and made popular by Laura Branigan and Cher. Barbara Streisand, Kenny Rodgers, Kenny G, and Patti LaBelle have also performed songs written by Bolton. His first hit was a cover of Otis Redding’s “(Sittin’ On) the Dock of the Bay” (1987) before moving on to “Georgia On My Mind”. His songwriting collaborators include Babyface, Diane Warren and the great Bob Dylan. He has performed with Luciano Pavarotti, Celine Dion, Ray Charles, and BB King amongst many other greats. Bolton’s last song to hit music charts in the United States was the song for Disney’s animated Hercules, “Go the Distance” in 1997 which peaked at #24 on the U.S. pop chart.
