Due to ongoing medical ailments, British rocker, Morrissey, has been forced to cancel the 22 dates remaining on his U.S. tour. The singer, who issued the release March 16 through a spokeswoman, had been set to resume the venture after rescheduling a number of shows, but will now be unable to fulfill the dates.

From his days producing remarkable work as the frontman of The Smiths to his equally successful run as a solo artist, Morrissey has amassed a legion of dedicated fans throughout the world, and those in the United States can breathe easily with the news that the British icon is continuing to make his way around the country in 2013. After beginning his U.S. run in January, the legendary lyricist was stricken with a bleeding ulcer that forced him to postpone over a month of shows, but now he’s ready to get back on the stage to do what he does best. Morrissey is scheduled to perform at Liberty Hall in Lawrence, Kan., on March 18, and from there, he’ll play over 20 shows in March, April, and May, finishing at The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco on May 1. The run is set to include all of his rescheduled dates.
