Nickelback Gears Up for International Tour Dates
Still riding the success of the 2011 album, “Here and Now,” Nickelback is on track to experience a whirlwind international year. The group’s seventh studio album charted within the top 10 in more than 10 countries worldwide and was certified double Platinum in both Australia and Canada. For 2013, the Canadian rock band is gearing up for a set at the massive Rock in Rio festival in Rio de Janeiro on Sept. 20, joining the lineup with headliners like Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, and Bruce Springsteen. Nickelback will perform its festival set just before Bon Jovi, which also invited the band to open for its concert on Sept. 21, at Morumbi Stadium in Sao Paulo. Later on in fall 2013, Nickelback will travel to Europe for The Hits Tour, which will take the group to countries like France, Italy, and the U.K., among others, from October through November.
