Pink Floyd Fans Hopeful for Reunion
Although both David Gilmour and Roger Waters have kept very busy recently with their solo projects, relations between the two former Pink Floyd band mates’ have warmed in recent years. Pink Floyd reunited at Live 8 five years ago in London, but turned down around $250 million to reunite for a world tour. Gilmour and Waters teased fans desperate for new Pink Floyd tour dates, when they played a few songs together this past year at a charity event. Waters is currently touring the United States on his epic The Wall Tour until December. The Pink Floyd songwriter will then tour throughout Europe through June 2011. Gilmour recently contributed to electronic music group The Orb's new album, Metallic Spheres. In a recent interview, Waters didn’t rule out the possibility of a Pink Floyd reunion in the future. Whether Gilmour and Waters ever team up again on stage remains to be seen, but if the reunion does ever happen, fans worldwide will rejoice.
