Prince Announces Dates for 2013 Tour
Fresh off a three-hour performance at the South by Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas, 54-year-old rocker Prince announced dates for his 2013 tour. The North American tour will be the eccentric musician’s first with 3rdEyeGirl, his new all-female backing band, who recently backed up the star on his nationally televised performance on NBC’s Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.
The 17-night “Live Out Loud” tour will include 34 shows in less than one month’s time, with two shows being performed each night. After kicking off on April 15 at Vancouver’s historic Vogue Theatre, Prince will play shows at eight venues in eight West Coast cities before concluding in Denver at the Ogden Theatre, with shows on May 12-13. Other notable stops include San Francisco’s DNA Lounge (April 23-24), and Las Vegas’ The Joint (April 26-27).
