They Might Be Giants Information

They might be Giants is an American band comprising John Linnel and John Flansburgh. They came into existence in the year 1982. They are well known for their own unique style in music. The duo has worked on different genres including modern rock, children's music and theme music for many television shows.

They have several albums to their credit including "Flood" and "Here come the ABCs". Both have been certified gold. They have many hits to their credit. Some of their popular tracks are "Birdhouse in your Soul"; "Don't Let's start" and "Ana Ng". The track "Boss of me" bagged the Grammy in 2002. The band has sung a number of shows for many shows including “Higglytown Heroes”, “Mickey mouse Clubhouse”, “The daily show in comedy central” and “The Oblongs”. They have even made appearances in "Tiny Toon adventures" show. Their track "Twisting" was used as the theme song for Pizza Hut. They were even made the theme for a documentary titled "Gigantic".

The band started their music in the early 1980s. The lyrics and their unique music drew large crowds. They released their first album in 1986 which was followed by their second album "Lincoln" in 1988. Their third album "Flood" was released in the very next year. The track "Birdhouse in your Soul" was hugely popular and climbed to the top of the charts. The band then released their next album titled "Apollo 18" in 1992. It was around this time that a few more artists were included in the band. Kurt Hoffman, Jonathan Feinberg and Tony Maimone joined the group and their first album together was "John Henry" which was released in 1994. This was followed by the release of "Factory showroom" in 1996.

In 1999 the band became the first such group to release an album titled "Long tall weekend" in mp3 format. Their newest album was "The Else" which was released in 2007. Presently they are working on a follow up album of "Here come the ABCs" which is slated to be released in a few months.
