Fernandez Bids Farewell on 2013 Tour
After almost being forced to cancel the remaining dates of his highly anticipated farewell tour due to some serious medical conditions, 73-year-old Vicente Fernandez plans to finish what he started. A successful surgery and a few months of rest later, he’ll get back into the swing of things with a March 23 show at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. “Chente” is expected to please his diehard fans by singing all of the hits that have earned him the “King of Ranchera Music” nickname. After his Las Vegas show, Fernandez will head to California, where he will finish out his legendary live performance career with eight concerts across the state. Fernandez’s final concerts will come in a three-night stint at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City (April 26-28).
