Yonder Mountain String Band Tickets

The Yonder Mountain String Band was developed originally from a band called the Bluegrassholes in Urbana in Illinois. The Yonder Mountain String Band or YMSB was formed in December 1998 in Nederland to open for a band performance at the famous Fox Theater at Boulder. At first, they played in many bars and clubs to develop the fan following for their band. They released their debut album named Elevation in 1999 on their own label called Frog Pad Records. By the year 2000 they expanded their performances to bigger venues like Fillmore Auditorium located in San Francisco. Now this group has a number of creative albums to their credit like Mountain Tracks, Town By Town, Old Hands etc.

The members of Yonder Mountain String Band are Jeff Austin, the mandolinist and one of the founder members, who is capable of freeform scat singing when the show is going on. Dave Johnston, the banjoist of the group and is capable of handling various instruments. Ben Kaufmann, the bassist and the lyrics writer and Adam Aijala, the guitarist and vocalist who has made the framework of many songs of Yonder Mountain String Band are the other band members. Some of the popular compositions of this group are “On the Run”,”Left Me in a Hole”, “The Bolton Stretch” and “Traffic Jam”.

This band performed in the Nederland Music and Art Festival in the year 1999 and was one of the major attractions of the festival. The band has several live albums in their name and they allow their fans to record the songs when they attend the concerts. The YMSB volunteers called Kinfolk help the group in publicizing an upcoming show in a town and they get free tickets for the head line shows. Their fourth studio album is special as they have added drums for the first time along with bass, guitar and mandolin. Expectations are high about this album.
