Goldschmidt Powers D-Backs in NL West Race

In the closest division race in Major League Baseball—the top four teams are all within two games of the NL West lead through June 16—Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Paul Goldschmidt has kept his team in contention with his consistent performance at the plate. The 25-year-old power hitter is first in the National League with 59 RBI, and among the top five in home runs (15) and slugging percentage (.543), while also boasting a .301 batting average.

Also contributing to the team’s top-10 ranking in batting average (.262) has been Gerardo Parra, a young right fielder who has hit .315 thus far, including an impressive .339 mark in the month of June. Shortstop Willie Bloomquist has given the team a boost since coming off the disabled list to make his season debut on June 1, making up for lost time by posting a .409 batting average through his first 14 games of 2013. With key contributors such as Adam Eaton, Eric Chavez, and Aaron Hill set to return from the disabled list before season’s end, the D-backs figure to remain serious contenders in the NL West in 2013. For your chance to be at Chase Field to see the team chase its second division title in three years, purchase Diamondbacks tickets from Vivid Seats today.

Diamondbacks Look to Break Away from the Pack

The Arizona Diamondbacks are sitting pretty atop the West Division of the National League—but they’re not alone. As of May 24, the Diamondbacks are tied with both the San Francisco Giants and the Colorado Rockies in first place with a record of 26-21. A large part of the success has come because of strong defensive play and a stocked bullpen, which includes Patrick Corbin, who has had a breakout year thus far with a 7-0 record and a 1.44 ERA.

Despite being riddled with injuries, the team has managed to strive forward through May, and the potential return of several key players will surely provide a boost. The prognosis on outfielder Adam Eaton’s elbow is looking positive, and he’s expected to return next month after missing the opening months of the season. Infielder Willie Bloomquist has been rehabbing with the team’s Triple-A team, and second baseman Aaron Hill is still questionable to return in June after breaking his wrist in April.

The Diamondbacks will be put to the test over the next couple weeks, as the team will be on the road for nine straight days to take on the Texas Rangers (May 27-30), Chicago Cubs (May 31-June 2), and St. Louis Cardinals (June 3-6), before returning home to play the San Francisco Giants in a three-game series, June 7-9. Sit back at Chase Field for a game under the sun by purchasing Diamondbacks tickets from Vivid Seats.

Big Moves for Diamondbacks as 2013 Season Approaches

In one of the biggest moves of the offseason, the Arizona Diamondbacks announced a deal that sent highly touted up-and-comer, Justin Upton, to the Atlanta Braves, along with infielder Chris John. In exchange, the D-backs secured five prospects including Brandon Drury, Nick Ahmed, Martin Prado, Randall Delgado, and Zeke Spruill, from the Braves. Despite the loss of Upton, Arizona does return last year’s offensive leader, Aaron Hill. In 156 games, Hill boasted a team-high 184 hits, 44 doubles, and .302 batting average.

Fans will get their first regular-season look at the squad at the start of April, as the 2013 Arizona Diamondbacks schedule has the team opening at home with a three-game series against the St. Louis Cardinals, April 1-3. The opening month of the season also will feature home stints against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Los Angeles Dodgers, Colorado Rockies, and the defending World Series champion, San Francisco Giants. Purchase 2013 Arizona Diamondbacks tickets throughout the year from the Vivid Seats marketplace.

Gibson Readies D-Backs for 2012 Season

Although the Diamondbacks left Milwaukee last October downtrodden following their 3-2 defeat to the Brewers in Game 5 of the NLDS, Arizona fans will look back on last season fondly for years to come. Kirk Gibson was justly named the NL Manager of the Year for miraculously turning around of the team in just his first year in Phoenix. As 2012 Diamondbacks tickets become available at Vivid Seats, Gibson and the front office are focused on carrying their winning ways on into the New Year. The ball club will be relying on ace Ian Kennedy to anchor their excellent pitching staff once again when regular season play begins this April. The right hander won 21 games for the D-Backs and finished the campaign with an astounding ERA of 2.88. In the batter's box, Gibson will be overseeing the continued maturation of All-Star Justin Upton. The five-tool right fielder has the potential to be one of the best in the game at just 24-years-old. You can count on plenty of excitement when #10 and the Diamondbacks take the field in 2012.

2011 Diamondbacks on the Verge of Worst-To-First Season

Many baseball experts were giving up on the Arizona Diamondbacks after the team lost six games in a row in the middle of August. Arizona manager Kirk Gibson rallied his troops and the team went on a nine-game win streak that propelled them to the top of National League West. Fans are booking their 2011 Diamondbacks playoff tickets with Arizona a full 8.5 games ahead of second place San Francisco. The D-Backs' worst-to-first turn around can be credited to Gibson and the dominating pitching of aces Ian Kennedy and Daniel Hudson. Gibson's ball club has also seen the play of right fielder Justin Upton blossom.

The 24-year-old is on pace to set career bests in home runs and RBIs and is undeniably one of the MLB's best young players. With Upton and long ball hitting catcher Miguel Montero providing the bats and Kennedy and Hudson dominating opponents from the mound - the Diamondbacks will have a real shot at reaching the World Series this October.
