Sox return the favor, sweep Cubs

The Chicago White Sox got sweet revenge Sunday night, as they finished their sweep of the Chicago Cubs with a 5-1 win. One week after the Cubs swept the Sox at Wrigley, The Southsider’s returned the favor behind a solid pitching performance and timely hitting. Mark Buehrle pitched seven innings allowing just 6 hits and an unearned run while striking out 5. Carlos Quentin, Jim Thome and Brian Anderson all homered for the White Sox. Sean Marshall also pitched well but was hit with the loss as he lasted 7 innings, allowing 5 hits and 3 runs while striking out 5. The Cubs travel to San Francisco to take on the Giants Monday night.
