Colorado Rockies Ticket Information

While it’s no secret that the altitude can be a nuisance for pitchers, baseball fans would be hard-pressed to find a more exciting venue than Coors Field, home to your Colorado Rockies. With its picturesque setting in the Rocky Mountains, this popular destination for MLB faithful is an essential place to take in a game, beginning with Rockies Opening Day tickets.

Don’t miss out on any of the matchups this season, most notably, the full plate of rivals making way to the Mile High City in the months to come, including the Chicago Cubs in July and Boston Red Sox in September, which will serve as the final home series of the regular season. Other big-name opponents visiting this year include the New York Yankees, San Francisco Giants, and the now-AL West member, Houston Astros.

Rockies News

Rockies Continue Battle for First

It’s a tight race in the National League West Division, with four of the top five teams within two games of each other for the lead. With a 37-33 record as of June 17, the Colorado Rockies have been holding strong in second place, just half a game behind the Arizona Diamondbacks.

To continue the quest for the top spot, the Rockies will need to find a replacement for Troy Tulowitzki, who was placed on the disabled list on June 14 due to a broken rib. Tulowitzki was leading the team in batting average (.347) and on-base percentage (.413), and was tied for third in the NL with 16 home runs. The team will now look to heavy-hitter Carlos Gonzalez, who has smacked 20 home runs of his own and boasts a team-leading 56 RBI and 83 hits. Starting pitcher Jorge De La Rosa has been strong on the mound, with seven wins, a 3.49 ERA, and 53 strikeouts.

Fans will get a taste of the division race at home as a purchase of Rockies tickets will get you seats inside Coors Field to watch upcoming stints against the San Francisco Giants (June 28-30) and Los Angeles Dodgers (July 2-4).

Rockies Striving for the Top

The Colorado Rockies roster is the perfect combination of young, eager players and established, seasoned veterans, which has given the team versatility and stability throughout its 2013 campaign. As of May 28, the Rockies’ 27-24 record leaves them just 2.5 games behind the NL West Division leaders, Arizona Diamondbacks, with plenty of time still left before the All-Star break.

Troy Tulowitzki is batting a team-leading .323 with 39 RBI, in addition to putting together a 10-game hitting streak. Carlos Gonzalez has been another offensive standout for the team, adding a .313 batting average, 13 home runs and 33 RBI. Michael Cuddyer, Dexter Fowler, Eric Young Jr., Wilin Rosario and Josh Rutledge have also been adding some versatility and firepower to the offense.

The Rockies finished up two important series against the top teams in the division, winning the first, 2-1, against Arizona, but went 1-2 against the first-place San Francisco Giants at the end of May. The Rockies will host the other two teams in the division when both the Los Angeles Dodgers (May 31-June 2) and San Diego Padres (June 6-9) head to town in the next couple weeks. Throw back a few brews and take in the scenic mountains at Coors Field with a purchase of Rockies tickets in stock now.

Colorado Rockies Look to Turn Things Around in 2013

Though they are one of the youngest franchises in all of baseball, the Colorado Rockies have already secured a World Series appearance and National League pennant, but it has been a long three seasons since they’ve earned a playoff spot. First-year manager and former Rockies player himself, Walt Weiss has been entrusted with getting the club back on track, and will do so with several of the team’s top offensive threats set to return. In 135 games last season, Carlos Gonzalez led the squad with 157 hits, 85 runs batted in, and 20 stolen bases, while Jordan Pacheco finished second with 147 hits and 32 doubles.

The 2013 Colorado Rockies schedule will launch April 1 in the first of a three-game series at the Milwaukee Brewers, followed by a weekend home stand against the San Diego Padres, with the Coors Field season opener set for April 5. Additional opponents making stops in the Mile High City in the initial month of the slate include the New York Mets, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Atlanta Braves. Browse the Vivid Seats marketplace above for an affordable selection of 2013 Colorado Rockies tickets.

Rockies Overhauling Roster for 2012

After a season that was filled with disappointment, the Colorado Rockies are making some major changes to their roster ahead of Opening Day 2012. Rockies tickets should be selling out regularly for the foreseeable future with young stars Troy Tulowitzki and Carlos Gonzalez signed to long-term contracts. However, the front office must meet the challenge head on of surrounding the franchise's two stars with the right mix of talent. Colorado added some run-producing quality this December by winning the signature of Minnesota Twins veteran Michael Cuddyer.  The 32-year-old right fielder should take some pressure off Tulowitzki and Gonzalez in the batting order this year in Denver. As spring training and the first game of the season draws near, the Rockies brass will be looking for more ways to improve the ball club. We shall see how the team's moves play out when the season begins on April 9th.
