LA Angels solider on

Could it be that the prophecy of 1994’s “Angels in the Outfield” is coming true (minus Tony Danza, unfortunately)? At this point in the season all signs point resoundingly towards yes. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim boast a 74-43 record, including a three game sweep of the Yankees that concluded this past Sunday. The Angels are cruising at an incredible pace, securely above second-place Texas Rangers with a 14-game lead. Tonight they have a day off for rest before hosting a two-game series against the Seattle Mariners this Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday night Jon Garland will take the mound against opposing Mariner lefty pitcher Jarrod Washburn.
