The Oakland Athletics were able to stop their recent six game losing streak, as they beat the Tampa Bay Rays 8-1 Tuesday night. Oakland got some solid pitching from their staff including starter Dallas Braden who lasted 5 innings allowing 4 hits and walks with 1 run while striking out 1. The Oakland bullpen sealed the win for Braden as they pitched 4 innings of shutout relief. Jack Hannahan had 4 RBI on the night, including a three run homer. Kurt Suzuki also had 3 hits for the A's and Bobby Crosby added 2 hits. Oakland fell behind 1-0 early but managed 3 runs in the 4th inning and never looked back, scoring 4 more in the 8th. The A's will look to take the series finale Wednesday when they take on the Rays at 12:40.
