Cardinals beat Braves

The St. Louis Cardinals managed a minor comeback to blow by the Atlanta Braves Tuesday night for a 8-3 win. After the Cardinals jumped to a 1-0 lead in the 2nd inning, the Braves answered with a 2 run bottom half to go ahead 2-1. St. Louis finally got things going when Albert Pujols hit his 21st home run of the year to lead off the 6th inning to tie the game at 2. In the top of the 8th inning, a Braves throwing error allowed Pujols to score the go ahead run.  Then in the 9th inning, the Cardinals erupted for 5 runs and put the game completely out of reach going ahead 8-2. St. Louis got a team performance as they finished the night with 11 hits, including 3 from Yadier Molina who also had 2 RBI's in the game. The third game of this 4 game series will take place Wednesday with the Cardinals already winning the first two.
