Rays blanked by Yankees

The Tampa Bay Rays haven't been silenced too often this season, but Tuesday night they were as the New York Yankees blanked them 5-0.  Tampa Bay managed just 4 hits against Yankee starter Andy Pettitte who pitched 8 innings of scoreless baseball.  Scott Kazmir siffered the loss as he pitched 5 innings allowing 5 hits and 2 runs while striking out 9.  B.J. Upton was the lone bright spot for the Rays as he had 2 of the 4 Tampa Bay hits.  The Yankees sealed the game with a 3 run 8th inning off Rays reliever Gary Glover.  New York jumped ahed 2-0 in the 3rd inning and the Rays couldn't manage any attempt at a comeback.  They will look to avoid a sweep from the Yankees when they play the series finale Wednesday.
