Bobcats 2006 Season Update

Currently coached by Bernie Bickerstaff, the Charlotte Bobcats joined the league only in 2004. Being a young team, the Bobcats have made much progress, showing strong game not yielding in the professionalism to the old NBA members. Having won only 26 games versus 56 losses, the team has finished the previous season only with .317%. According to the current statistics updated on January 1, 2007, the number of losses still exceeds the number of victories (22 vs. 9) with the current .276%. On January 1, 2007, the Charlotte Bobcats played with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The latter outscored the Bobcats by sixteen points in the 4th quarter to erase a 20-point deficit, and thus, the T-Wolves came away with an overwhelming victory (102-96). Kevin Garnett became the key figure of the match, scoring a season-high 32 points and added 14 rebounds, which helped Minnesota to pull off a stunning comeback victory. Matt Carroll from the Charlotte Bobcats added the largest number of points – 23. Raymond Felton scored 22 points and 9 assists, and Adam Morrison added 18 points. On January 3, 2007, the Charlotte Bobcats acquired Jeff McInnis from New Jersey in exchange for Bernard Robinson with the intention to add depth to the team’s backcourt. He will play for the first time for the Bobcats on January 5 in Orlando.
